LIGHTING CAN AFFECT THE APPEARANCE OF A PERSON

Lighting is a crucial aspect of photography portraiture, it can make a person look sad, bad, mad, and very awkward. The reason is because the face casts shadows distorting how a person looks.

Here are portraits of different faces from left to right (scary, serious, mysterious, distracted, awkward)

Your Assignment

Step 1. Your job will be to create 8 different portraits of the same person, but you need to vary the lighting angle of the lights. Use the mannequin head example below to get an idea of the angles of light you need.

Step 2. Watch the photoshop tutorial below on how to use. brushes.

Step 3. Use the ‘best’ portrait photo, along with photoshop to create a graphic portrait much like the one shown.
